Approaching storm

Storm approaching Llandudno Pier North Wales

The blue skies from yesterday’s post had darkened considerably by the time this picture was taken at around 3.30 in the afternoon.

Torrential rain with the odd crack of thunder duly arrived about half an hour later, luckily I had made good my escape long before then!

  1. We’re going to be down there on Saturday! I hope the weather holds off (although I do like a bit of rain).

    • Weather is set fair for Saturday, remember to bring some SPF30!

  2. There’s nothing like a good storm Beautiful photo. And of course I like the time

  3. Thats quite a dark sky! I love the juxtaposition between the sky any people going about their daily business.

  4. Your photos make me want to be in Llandudno! Have you ever been in the shop during a storm like that? Or do they close the pier if the storm looks ominous?

    • The Pier closes quite often if the wind exceeds a certain speed, and I’ve been caught on there more times than I care to remember in stormy weather!

  5. I think I might be out there in one of those gazebos, waiting for it!

  6. It must be quite spooky on the pier in a storm!
