Llandudno Arts Weekend #3

LLAWN03, the third Llandudno Arts Weekend, took place Friday through to Sunday. My wife took these images of just some of the thirty events around the town:

Wheel-House

The Wheel House is a revolving stage which transversed the prom, with the performers within it acting a gentle dystopia about friendship and survival.

Mr-&-Mrs-Clark

Mr & Mrs Clark brought their unique Medicine Show wagon to Llandudno, inviting unwary members of the audience to partake in their unique and unnerving “remedies”.

L'-Animalada

L’Animalada saw the prom become alive with interactive mechanical animals, providing hours of fun for children of all ages.

Pinking-Us-Together

Pinking Us Together became a giant knitting circle on the prom. The knitters created pink squares which flowed onto the beach, and which will become blankets for local residential homes.

Automaton

Slightly sinister Autonatoms appeared in venues around the town. This piece added to the drama of the concrete tube at the MOSTYN gallery.

  10. The Wheelhouse is simply fabulous. The tapping woman is indeed quite sinister – nice to see how the knitting finished as they’d packed it away before I got a last look at it. Just posted about the mermaids at http://ackworthborn.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/mermaids-with-attitude.html Still slowly sorting through my photos but some of the Llawn03 ones are gathered together at http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/13981 with more to be added later.
