Artwork on Anglesey

Penmon-Point-lighthouse

Here is one of four paintings by the artist Anthony Garratt. His ‘Four on Anglesey’ series consists of four open-air canvas pictures of the island that have been installed for the summer.

This particular work can be found at Penmon Point (Black Point), and like the other three is bolted to a rusting steel easel.

  1. Did he forget to paint the lighthouse in the painting? πŸ˜‰

  2. An interesting project. Your shot captures a much calmer sea than the one in the picture. Hope the painting will withstand wind and salt spray until the end of the summer.

  3. Looks like a very stormy night in the painting.nice little lighthouse in the background and calmer sea..hope the painting is weather proof!!!.. πŸ™‚

  4. Very unique and most interesting idea…love that lighthouse!

  5. Your photo is amazing with the painting in the foreground and the sea in back. There is something very compelling about the whole scene. I am wondering what kind of treatment is placed on the painting to protect it from the elements.

  6. Cool idea!

  7. Open air exhibitions are great, love how it’s set against the coast (and hope it doesn’t rain… πŸ™‚ )

  8. Wonderful! It works so well there and your pic is great!

  9. That’s a great idea for an installation.

  10. What a fantastic idea!
