4th Annual Llandudno Daffodil Art Competition

Yesterday I had the pleasure of once again helping to judge the Llandudno Daffodil Art Competition at the Town Hall.

Here is the Mayor of Llandudno, who also took part in the judging of the art work provided by four local primary schools.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Are you ready for the eclipse? πŸ™‚
The clouds are too thick in London, I don’t think we can witness it here 😦
I can’t even find the Sun.

  2. I remember the daffodil comp last year.well dun geoff for bein chosen agen to judge..
Its goin dark and very quiet here the eclipse is well underway… hav a good wkend too Geoff

  3. Good for you! That makes me want to know what you gave first prize.

    • There were different winners spread over five or six age groups, the standard in all of them was excellent!

  4. You must be a big shot in town! ;-))

  5. They obviously need your artistic eye. Easier than judging the Beautiful Baby competition!

  6. How sweet! And who won?

    • There were five or six different categories, based on the various age groups, each category received First, Second and Third places with a further seven Highly Commended awards… 300 pieces were judged in total!

  7. oh what a wonderful task checking out all that beautiful art

  8. A good insight into community life

  9. What fun to see what young artists are creating!

  10. I think it would be so tough to judge these works. I’m sure they’re all grand!

  11. how fun for the kids, and you!

  12. Is it possible to see some of the art work on-line?

    • Hi Stephen, apparently some images are going to be posted on their Facebook page: Llandudno Daffodil Capital of Wales… and some of the artwork itself is going to be on display in the Victoria Centre in Llandudno from next week.
