‘Panic Saturday’ on Llandudno Pier

Llandudno-Pier-from-Alex-Mu

This was the scene at noon on Llandudno Pier, on what was dubbed by the media as ‘Panic Saturday’.

Clearly not much panic buying go on, let’s hope the town centre was considerably busier!

  1. Love the title for this! Did all mine early, so nice and snug at home. 🙂

  2. Ha ha.. cos everybody else was busy shopping? Perhaps?

  3. No panic here all done and dusted..just waitin for santa!!. 🙂 Hope things pick up for your little shop geoff ..

    • Shop on there has been shut since early November, Terry… not worth bothering now until late February!

  4. Very quiet out there. I stopped at one store yesterday here and it was so crowded I could hardly get through the aisles. I went home after that.

  5. It’s a lovely shot of that beautiful pier but doesn’t look very busy. I like it a lot better than the roadways and stores in our area at the moment. I just don’t understand why, during a “religious” season all hell breaks loose! 🙂

  6. Some areas were probably busy and others not so much – it is the way of the world.

  7. I’d rather shop here where it’s not so busy. 🙂

  8. I would like one of these blue, pier pagodas for Christmas. It would look good as a summer house in the garden. A liberating sense of space about this shot.

    • Good idea Barbara, I’d like one of those pagodas too.

      • We could have a snug little tea-house in one of these!

  9. Definitely nicer at the pier than in the sops, I’m sure!

  10. Not a soul in sight. So they are probably shopping…

  11. I want to live there!
    At least for the holidays.
In Pasadena, people start arriving before Christmas and stay ’til after New Year’s, for the Tournament of Roses Parade and the Rose Bowl game. The town swells to the gills. It’s one time of year I’d rather be almost anywhere else.
