Alex Munro Way

Alex-Munro-Way-Llandudno

This road near the Happy Valley was renamed Alex Munro Way earlier this year.

Alex Munro was an entertainer who performed in Llandudno throughout the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s.

More can be seen about him here.

  1. An interesting piece of local history.

  2. What a nice gesture!! I can remember seeing his shows in the open air theatre” sheps banjo boys” were one of the acts i can recall performing there back in the late 60s..its a shame it came to an end..”happy days in happy valley!!” šŸ™‚

  3. I remember those shows too Terry, but more around 1960 ish for me. šŸ™‚

  4. Remember those shows with pleasure, especially one where a determined little boy ( mine) climbed onto the stage and insisted on sharing the piano seat with the pianist who was kind enough to let him stay. More happy memories of Llandudno!

  5. Nice way to remember a local hero!

  6. that’s a nice way to honor him.

  7. He will now always be remembered – nice touch!

  8. Now people like me will be wondering who he was (except of course that now I know!)
