Up and away

Cable-car-Llandudno

The cable cars are a very popular way of getting to the top of the Great Orme, as this queue testifies.

Unfortunately, windy weather meant they didn’t run as frequently as they would have wished last month.

  1. I have not seen this kind of vintage cable cars for a very long time!

  2. What a great way to travel up in the air!! and what stunning scenery..those lucky people are in for a real treat…. up up and away.. : -)

  3. I love a ride in a cable car! Is the season over already?

    • Not yet, weather permitting, the cable cars may run until early October or so.

  4. Great views from up there – and very quiet ‘journey’, had to pluck up courage though. 🙂

  5. I would definitely NOT want to use the cable car in windy weather. Maybe not in good weather either, as I have a fear of heights.

  6. I bet there great views from one of those buckets!

  7. I’d rather walk but I guess if it was to hard I’d have to overcome fears and try the cable car!

  8. I understand it’s not all that scary, so perhaps I’ll give it a go next time!

  9. I’m not a huge fan of these things and wouldn’t even dream of taking one in windy weather!

  10. Beautiful shot. The car looks like a little hollowed-out orange. Wish I could pluck up courage like Christine and make the journey.
