The Waverley returns to Llandudno Pier

After Tuesday’s sailing was cancelled, The Waverley, the last ocean-going paddle steamer in the world, finally reappeared off Llandudno Pier yesterday afternoon…

… unfortunately the wind was still too strong to allow it to dock…

… still, at least it was good to see The Waverley back in Llandudno Bay once again!

  2. What a smashing sight!! Pity it didnt dock, hope it returns again at the end of the pier for people to actually go aboard… brings back memories of my 60s and 70s holidays in Llandudno when i was fortunate to experience the steamers 1st hand …. : -) πŸ™‚

  3. Pleased to see this little boat back. Remember it sailing (paddling)out from Ayr. A good crowd in the boat and on the end of the pier. Thanks for the photograph.
