Stormy seas

Storms-Llandudno

This was the scene shortly after 10am yesterday morning on the North Shore.

Strong winds and rough seas meant that the scheduled arrival at Llandudno Pier of the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world, the Waverley, had to be cancelled. However, at the time of writing this, she is still due to arrive at Llandudno today… weather permitting!

More about the Waverley’s sailings can be found here.

  9. Last time I was on the Waverley she was in the Bristol Channel sailing from Penarth to Weston and back. Marvellous how she still survives.
