No Dogs Allowed

The beach around 9am today; new banners have been placed along large areas of the North Shore beach.

In compliance with Seaside Awards Criteria during the season, sections of this beach have dog restrictions from 1 May until 30 September.

More can be found on the Conwy County Borough Website.

  1. A good idea with all the people esp children going bare foot on the beach…i gather the banners are taken up and replaced between tides!!!!. Bet it looks like a bit of a reggatta going on from a distance.. πŸ™‚

    • There isn’t a cloud in the sky now, Terry!

  2. Am a dog lover but can see the point of these banners.

  3. I’m glad it’s only sections so that some dogs can still enjoy the ocean in other areas.

  4. I think this is a good thing, even though I do love dogs. There are always people who fail to clean up after their animals and you don’t want to set your blanket down on a pile of dog poop half-buried in the sand!

Thanks for the link. I’m going to check it out shortly. I know little about such things. Now Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett – those guys still ring my bell!

  5. back in san diego we had a beach just for dogs called “dog beach”…our dogs loved it!!

  6. Interesting rule. I’m not against dogs on the beach as long as they (and their owners) are well-behaved.

  7. Good to know geoff.!!

  8. I’m glad that the dogs have a section for themselves as they do so love to run into the water!

  9. Should have this ban all year around instead. πŸ™‚

  10. Ah yes. Sinking down in the sand into…

  11. Are they paw prints I can see in the sand ????? It didn’t last long !!!!!
