‘Island’ on the West Shore

I spotted this little ‘island’ on my walk around the Great Orme yesterday morning. Yet another example of the shifting sands on the West Shore.

  1. A little island in paradise.

  2. You should build a sand castle there instead. 😉

  3. “Gilligans island”.showing my age now.

  4. Soon to be gone. You were there just at the right time for this shot.

  5. AH, your island made me smile. 😉

  6. It will probably shift away again one day.

  7. Another lovely day. It’s raining here now, but I suppose the gardens need it.

  8. I’m surprised there were no gulls on it!

  9. 🙂 it is tiny!

  10. I don’t know why islands (of any size) make me want to pitch a beach umbrella and blanket on the sand, and pretend I’m a castaway on it (at least until the next tide comes back in and stakes its rightful claim!) I guess I must have watched too much Gilligan’s Island in my youth LOL!

  11. The planet has a mind of its own.

  12. always interesting to see the tide roll in and the little sandbanks it creates as it does so – also illustrates how easy one could trapped on one.
