A walk around the Great Orme #12

Picture of the Great Orme Llandudno

We’re taking a break for a while, so we thought we would take you on a walk all the way around the Great Orme until we’re back. There will also be a few interesting facts mentioned on our walk, which we have compiled from various sources. Apologies in advance if any aren’t 100% accurate!

Our walk has now taken us beyond the half way point and we are approaching the descent onto the western side of the Great Orme.

To the right of the above shot is this particular view, beneath which lies perhaps the most mysterious of the many caves which can be found on the Great Orme, Ogof Llech (or Hiding Cave).  Read more about the Hiding Cave here.

  1. Interesting story about the cave! Very mysterious.

  2. This cave intrigues me. Saw it featured on the T V programme Coast and shuddered at the need to abseil down to reach it. It seems to have played a part in many strange goings-on over the years.Enjoyed the tea and am ready for the downhill bit!

  3. Love that second shot! And also the cool link (great resource website), very intriguing indeed.

  4. Thanks for that link. I loved it!

  5. I remember that coast program,,like barbara mentioned it was a very tricky route to the cave, but inside was amazing, writings on the wall and a seat like shelf going round the inside of the cave, the orme is a really fascinating place.
