The Happy Valley

Picture of the Happy Valley Llandudno

The Happy Valley, seen from the pier.

This particular piece of land was given to the town by Lord Mostyn in 1887, as a gift in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. A former quarry, the area was subsequently landscaped and developed as gardens.

Just visible, in the centre of the shot, is a bust of Queen Victoria; a close up can be seen here.
