Llandudno from Conwy Mountain

Picture of Llandudno from Conwy Mountain

Taken yesterday afternoon, a view from Conwy Mountain overlooking Conwy Golf Club and beyond to Llandudno. The Pier is visible centre of shot, with part of the Great Orme to the left.

Conwy Mountain, or Mynydd y Dref (Mountain of the Town), is the remains of an ancient volcano that erupted around 450 million years ago.

  6. This is a spectacular place to site a golf course. You could also get in a bit of sea fishing between rounds!

  7. I’m drawn to the shades of blues, greay and green in this photo. It’s a picturesque view of the town.

  8. What an invigorating vista! You took it all in 🙂 I love the volcano info, to think of a time when this piece of land – even if it was somewhere else – was spouting out lava!
