Pier horizon

Picture of Llandudno Pier

Llandudno Pier seen stretching out towards the horizon.

A British Tourist Authority report released in 1975 once said of it;

It zooms out of the sea, in a spectacular Indian Gothic style rather like a Maharajah’s palace floating on a lake. Cast iron, brackets of iron lacework, an outstandingly pretty balustrade like an enlarged fish net, ogee roofs curling away to the sky, all add up to a totally pleasurable experience.’

  1. This is one of the most beautiful piers I know and you have a prime spot on it!

  2. Perfectly lined up shot!

  3. This view gives the pier another whole appearance. It is so gorgeous. We have lots of piers in Florida but I’ve never seen one like this. Superb!

  4. that is quite a description! Beautiful photo!

  5. And you are lucky enough to be there!

  6. That is a beautiful pier and love how you framed this. The description sounds just about perfect (yes, agree with RedPat, lucky!:)

  7. An impressive description! It looks so festive with those colored balloon shapes. Is that a ride of some sort?

    • Yes, there are a series of rides for kids near the front of the pier.
