Snow on the Great Orme

Snow on the Great Orme Llandudno

Taken yesterday afternoon on a very snowy walk around the Great Orme.

While there is no snow at all now down at sea level, this particular section of Marine Drive has about two feet or so of it. Click here to see what’s actually beneath it all; this other post was taken at almost the same spot looking the other way.

  1. Oh boy, it looks like you could take a wrong step in that snow and disappear until the summer! Kinda scary, actually. But I suppose it won’t last long.

  2. Wow, it looks so ver cold in this shot!

  3. That’s an incredible amount of snow you got up there! I pray that we get no more this year.

  4. I’m glad you posted the earlier shot from the same location, because the winter version looks like only a few blades of grass would keep you from plunging into the water below. By the way, what are the bodies of water called which are off Llandudno and the Great Orme?

    • This particular view is looking towards the Conwy Estuary with the large body of water being the Irish Sea. By the way, tomorrow’s picture, which was taken today, is a lot more summery!

  5. That’s incredible, it seems we’re moving into rather than away from Winter! Fingers crossed for a true Spring thaw:)

  6. Wasn’t January wonderful? Only a few flakes here too and sunny this morning (got some great shadow shots) but bitterly cold in the wind.

  7. it looks really deep! ours is melting away quickly!! sun is shining!

  8. The higher you climb the deeper it gets.Looking forward to to-morrow’s post and better weather!

  9. Thanks for the link to the previous shot, and same for yesterday. You are having wacky weather!
