  1. Interesting angle on your little shop perched above the water. Hope you have a good firework display.

    • It was clear and sunny when I took that photo, unfortunately the weather this afternoon is starting to look a little ominous!

  2. Pier looks good hope the weather stays fine for the fireworks, will you be posting pictures of them tomorrow? do they make you any allowance for closing the pier in this manor?

    • I’m busy elsewhere this afternoon, but hopefully will make it back in time to take a photo or two, weather permitting of course. As for allowances from the Pier for having to close, no chance!

  3. Fantastic shot. Looks like a beautiful day. Excuse my ignorance, but is there some kind of holiday what with the fireworks?

    • November 5th isn’t a holiday but it’s ‘celebrated’ each year as Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes night, hence the firework displays. According to Wikipedia: “Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. Celebrating the fact that King James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London, and months later the introduction of the Observance of 5th November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot’s failure”.

  4. Enjoy the display if you get back in time!

  5. Lucky you to live and work with a venue like this – gorgeous!

  6. So lovely. The pier was on television last night, mostly about it’s maintenance. The bandstand and the promenade were shown too

    • It was a great programme, certainly showed Llandudno at its best. Especially with the shots from above!

  7. Great view down on it- hope the fireworks were good…
